STAINED GLASS SCULPTURE, NOVEMBER 2022

A sculpture composed of 59 triangular pieces of stained glass, foiled and soldered together to create a geometric 19-pointed form. A string of 50 incandescent lights illuminates the piece from the inside.

A series of ten monotype prints made using water-based and metallic calligraphy inks on a glass plate. The plate was not cleaned between printings, so each print contains traces of the one pulled immediately prior. Each print measures 9 x 12 inches.
EARTH ELEGY
HANDMADE BOOK, AN EDITION OF 100. COMMISSION FROM POET NANCY COLLINS-WARNER. AUGUST 2020-CURRENT.

In August of 2020, I began a commissioned project to create an edition of handmade chapbooks for the poem "Earth Elegy" by Nancy Collins-Warner, accompanied by a series of seven woodcut illustrations. The edition will contain 100 individual copies of the 48-page book, including a cover, marbled endpaper, flypaper, and hand-binding. The book was designed digitally in the fall of 2020; illustrations were carved in the spring of 2021; typesetting & printing is currently ongoing at the Apiary Press of Smith College under the tutelage of Prof. Barry Moser. The project is expected to be complete in August of 2022, with all of the binding completed over this upcoming summer.
