My first ever performance piece, originally a conceptual text-based work inspired by the Instructions in Yoko Ono's Grapefruit. For six hours, in about 30ºF weather, I stood in the garden wearing a headpiece I constructed out of aluminum jewelry wire and battery-powered string lights. I was visited by a number of people during that time (friends, professors, strangers). I acted as an inanimate object and was unable to respond to viewers in any way. At midnight exactly, the lights were switched off and the performance ended.
