SINCERELY, ANYONE

CONCEPTUAL POSTER CAMPAIGN, THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF THREE
INSTALLED IN VARIOUS LOCATION ON SMITH COLLEGE CAMPUS, DECEMBER 5-17, 2019.

A piece about suggestion and response, the impact of ambiguity, and working within a tradition of text-based conceptual art. Over the course of two weeks, more than 600 posters were installed anonymously in various locations by myself and a team of collaborators, increasing in number each night. A total of eleven messages were distributed during that time, and two "non-events" were held in the style of the Happenings of the 1950s-60s. Public response was visible online and on social media, as well as in conversation in public spaces on campus.
