WOULD IT REALLY BE BETTER TO SAY NOTHING AT ALL?

CONCEPTUAL POSTER CAMPAIGN, THE THIRD IN A SERIES OF THREE
INSTALLED IN VARIOUS LOCATION ON SMITH COLLEGE CAMPUS, FEBRUARY 20-27, 2022.

The third and final project in a series of conceptual poster campaigns installed at Smith College. Over the course of just one night, 500 blank posters and seven banners were installed anonymously in various locations by myself and a team of collaborators. This was also an experiment in whether my signature would be recognizable by installation practice alone without the element of text.

A piece about the reception of art in public spaces, censorship, and the relationship between the artist and the critic. If things are uncomfortable or confusing, is it better to avoid them altogether? Should there be nothing out of the ordinary?
